- Louisa May Alcott
Dearest readers, I thank you for joining me for the 2016 Louisa May Alcott reading challenge (Check out the details if you haven't yet!)
For today's post, I'm sharing about the L.M.A. books I'll be tackling this month for the challenge. I've decided upon 3 books -- one written by our beloved Miss Alcott, the second written as a fictionalized story about her family, and the third is a devotional based on Alcott's writings.

March (2006)

Louisa May Alcott: Illuminated by the Message (2015)
written by Susan Bailey
I'm thrilled to be reading these books this summer. And I can't wait to see which books you're going to read for the challenge as well!
So, my question to you, dear reader, is this...
What book(s) are you reading for the LMA challenge this June?
* Remember, it can be any book or story penned by the hand of Miss Alcott, or written about her.
Not sure what to read for the challenge? Check out my [List of published titles by Louisa May Alcott] for some literary inspiration this June.
I would like to procure a hard copy first, but I'm hoping to read "Rose in Bloom." It's amazing how time has flown--feels like the last LMA challenge was only a few months ago!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy "An Old-Fashioned Girl." I read it some years ago, and would like to re-read it one day. :-D
"An Old Fashioned Girl" is my favorite after Little Women and "Little Men". Hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteHi there! This is Ivy from the Wordpress blog wordsandplots.com. You found me through the review I did of LMA's short fantasy story "Ripple, the Water-Spirit." I finally responded to your comment on my blog, sorry it took so long! I am very interested in the LMA reading challenge, but since I am coming in so late I've to decided to do only one book. I definitely considered reading "An Old Fashioned Girl" or "March", but after doing a little more research (which was a really cool mini-journey all on its own!) I discovered "Rose In Bloom" as well as "A Long Fatal Love Chase." However, I've narrowed it down to either "Rose In Bloom" or "March." So, I'll be back shortly to post a link to the blog post that comes out of this. Thank you so much, I'm having so much fun with this!
ReplyDeleteI will probably also add the link to the post I did on "Ripple, the Water-Spirit." Again, thank you so much!
