  3. I read Hospital Sketches a few months ago and loved it. Of course, I am studying to become a nurse, so that mainly is why I decided to read it, but her insight is really thoughtful and interesting. I think you'll like it!

  4. Hospital Sketches was the first book work of Louisa's that I read and it was soon after my mom passed away. I found Louisa's writing about death to be really helpful as I grieved. I had been slow to read books BY Louisa even though I had read ABOUT her all life, go figure! But HS hooked me.

    BTW, wow, I am honored you included my essay on your list!
