    Hm, I’ve only read one of these, but I really want to read Alcott’s book. She’s one of my favourite authors. <3 I’ve listed my 5 favourites on my blog, but a quick listing here... “Daniel Boone, Wilderness Scout”; “Enemy Brothers”; “Basic Principles of Speech (1946 edition); “The Elements of Style”; & “Bridgers.” :)

    Oh, you have two books I have read and really liked! "The Secret Garden" and "The Inheritance." I haven't read the other books, but maybe I should look into them. :)

    I have read The Secret Garden and Mistress Pat. The Pat series are my favorite Lucy Maude Montgomery books.

    Thank You for this list. I have read The Secret Garden and intend to read Mistress Pat. Two of the best books I have read this year are
    1.My Dear Hamilton by Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie.
    2. Wives and Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskel. This book was first published in 1846.
